Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Morehouse Parish Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a search signifies acceptance of every term below. If you disagree with any condition, stop using the service.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not connected with a parish, state, or federal government office. Neither the service nor its advertising partners provide a product intended for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or another decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify criminal-record access resources for Morehouse Parish and Louisiana. It is neither a private investigation business nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not hold official criminal records, retrieve records on a visitor's behalf, perform an official background check, or submit papers to an agency or court.

The content directs readers to Morehouse Parish record custodians, including the sheriff, the courts that hear criminal matters, Louisiana State Police BCII, and the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. It may also connect visitors with outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the service, you agree not to:

  • Violate a local, Louisiana, or federal law
  • Stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass another person with information obtained here
  • Rely on the content for an employment, housing, credit, or insurance decision
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any account, server, or system
  • Use a bot, scraper, or other automated collection method against the pages
  • Interfere with performance or prevent another visitor from gaining access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked service may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, retaliate against, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Louisiana registry information is supplied for public-safety awareness and carries conditions against misuse. It must not be turned into vigilante action, blacklisting, or housing discrimination. Misuse of information from the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry may also expose the user to legal penalties.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Morehouse Parish Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not produce consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Its content and linked advertising tools are not designed to evaluate applicants, rental requests, insurance rates, or credit. You may not use information from this service or a linked tool to:

  • Make a hiring, retention, or termination decision
  • Evaluate a renter or applicant for housing
  • Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
  • Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other purpose governed by the FCRA

When a legally compliant check is required for such a purpose, use the appropriate authorized process through Louisiana State Police BCII or a consumer reporting agency that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

The information is educational and is not legal advice. General descriptions of Morehouse Parish records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, public-record request, or Louisiana expungement law affects a particular person. Seek advice from a licensed Louisiana attorney for an individual legal issue.

6. No Warranties

All material and services are offered "as is." No promise is made that:

  • Any item is complete, accurate, or current
  • Access will always be continuous or available
  • The pages will be free from errors, defects, or security weaknesses
  • An outside search provider will return complete or accurate results

Criminal records can change after charges are filed, amended, dismissed, restricted, or expunged. Delays and omissions can occur. Content here is not an official statement from the Morehouse Parish Sheriff, a court, Louisiana State Police, or another government agency. Verify a record with its original custodian.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to sheriff pages, court systems, Louisiana agencies, legal assistance organizations, and outside search providers. Those destinations are independently operated. We do not control their content, privacy practices, prices, availability, or accuracy and accept no responsibility for them. Review each destination's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code are owned by Morehouse Parish Criminal History or the applicable content partner. Unless the law permits otherwise, the material may not be copied, changed, distributed, or used to make a derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses or damages arising from access to or use of the service, including reliance on content found here or through an outside link.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the service or violation of these terms, including reasonable legal fees and related expenses.

11. Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of the service must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Louisiana. Public records obtained from Louisiana agencies remain subject to applicable law, including the Louisiana Public Records Law, while BCII dissemination is governed by R.S. 15:587.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited, suspended, or terminated at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be limited only as far as necessary to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
